Welcome to our Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) program! We are thrilled to have you as our patient, and we want to ensure that you have a positive and informed experience throughout your journey with testosterone replacement.
Understanding TRT is essential for successful treatment, and we have prepared this letter to provide you with some fundamental information and guidance.
1. What is Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)?
TRT is a medical intervention designed to address low testosterone levels in individuals. It involves the administration of testosterone to restore hormonal balance and improve various aspects of health.
2. Your Personalized Treatment Plan:
Our healthcare professionals have crafted a personalized TRT plan tailored to your specific needs. This plan includes details such as the type of testosterone prescribed, dosage, and administration. Our providers will conveniently obtain labs in the office for a one stop shop.
3. Expected Benefits of TRT:
- Improved energy levels
- Enhanced mood and cognitive function
- Increased muscle mass and strength
- Decreased recovery time between workouts.
- Enhanced libido and sexual function
- Potential improvement in bone density
4. Possible Side Effects:
While TRT can bring about positive changes, it’s essential to be aware of potential side effects. Common side effects may include:
- Acne
- Fluid retention
- Changes in mood
- Changes in libido
- Possible increase in B/P
If you experience any unexpected or severe side effects, please contact our medical team promptly.
5. Regular Monitoring and Follow-Up:
To ensure the effectiveness and safety of your treatment, regular monitoring is essential. Our healthcare team will schedule follow-up appointments every 3 months or as needed to assess your progress, adjust your treatment if necessary, and address any concerns you may have.
6. Lifestyle Considerations:
In addition to your TRT, adopting a healthy lifestyle can further support your overall well-being. This includes regular exercise, a balanced diet, and adequate sleep.
7. Communication is Key:
We encourage open communication between you and our medical team. If you have questions, concerns, or experience any changes, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
8. Cost:
Initial appointment will entail a blood draw only. The cost for initial lab work is $225. We do not accept health insurance for labs within the office. If you would like to have your lab work done at an outside lab and utilize your health insurance, we can provide you with an order for your labs at no cost. If another HCP has given you an order for “hormones” please check with our office to ensure the correct labs have been ordered to ensure a smooth transition into the office.
Consultation appointments must occur a minimum of 7 days after labs are drawn and a maximum of 6 weeks after your blood was drawn. The cost of consultation includes your 1st month of treatment and medications, and the cost is $275.
Once you establish care, we will obtain a card on file and the rate is $200/month. This cost includes all future blood work, medications, injections, and follow-up visits with our providers.
We are committed to providing you with the highest standard of care and ensuring that your experience with TRT is both positive and successful. Thank you for entrusting us with your health and well-being.
